· When was the last time you updated your alarm information? This should be done whenever you change your home phone, cellular phone or pager. This also applies to your key holders as well.
· Do we have listing of key holders? This should be updated with any changes of key holders.
· Has your phone number for the location that the alarm system is installed? We should have your correct phone number, this helps stop false alarms caused by not having correct phone number for location and dispatching the police.
· Have you had phone work done or changed your telephone company? Telephone line work at your location can change the way your alarm use’s the line to dial out.
· Have you added an Internet Service to your phone line called DSL? If you have added this service you may need a device called an alarm DSL filter. Having this filter will allow alarm system to dial properly to the central station.
· When was the last time you tested your alarm system both locally and with our monitoring central station?
Manufactures now state equipment should be tested weekly. Your alarm system should definitely be tested after electrical
outage, power surge and electrical storms.
